Spanish School in Malaga (Spain)

Como queremos que nuestros cursos de español no se limiten a seguir solamente los libros de estudio, proponemos actividades complementarias para hacer todavía más ameno el aprendizaje del idioma. Aquí os publicamos una de estas actividades hechas por nuestros estudiantes. Es un video hecho por ellos mismos y dirigidos por nuestro profesor Augusto, video con el que luego hemos trabajado en las clases de español. La historia se llama “Ratón de biblioteca”y en él han intervenido nuestros estudiantes Susana, Silje, Ester, Niels, Anika y Daniel, quienes han escrito y protagonizado la historia. Felicidades porque es muy bueno. Esperamos que os guste.

Da wir natürlich nicht möchten, dass sich unsere Spanischkurse nur aus Lehrbüchern begrenzen, schlagen wir unseren Schülern vielfältige Übungen vor um das Erlernen der Sprache besser zu gestalten. Hier möchte ich euch nun ein Video zeigen, dass von unseren Schülern gedreht wurde. Unser Lehrer Augusto leitete dieses Video, mit welchem wir später im Spanischunterricht gearbeitet haben. Die Geschichte heisst „ Die Leseratte” und wurde von unseren Schülern Susana, Silje, Ester, Niels, Anika und Daniel gespielt und geschrieben.
Viel Spass damit , denn es ist wirklich toll geworden! Wir hoffen es gefällt euch!

Due to the fact that we don`t want to limit our Spanish courses just with books, we suggest our students a lot of exercises for learning the language better in a creative way.
Here, I want to show you a video made by our students. Our teacher Augusto directed the video, with which we later were working with in classes. The story is called “Glutton for books” and was played and written by our students Susana, Silje, Ester, Niels, Anika and Daniel.

Ya tenemos las fotos ganadoras de nuestro concurso. Tenemos que decir que, entre las fotos finalistas, ha habido un triple empate en votos de los estudiantes y profesores de la escuela. Así que ha sido el voto de Felipe, nuestro informático y fotógrafo, el que ha decidido.

Hemos organizado un nuevo concurso de fotografía urbana en la escuela de español Mediterráneo. Este viernes vamos a salir con los estudiantes por la ciudad para que puedan tomar sus fotos y presentarlas a concurso. Por los profesores, se seleccionarán tres fotografías y los estudiantes votarán la ganadora durante la semana próxima y daremos el resultado el viernes 27 de febrero.
La foto ganadora obtendrá un premio y, además, los profesores elegiremos la foto más divertida, que también será merecedora de otro galardón.
La próxima semana os publicaremos las fotos finalistas y ganadoras.

We have organized a new competition of urban photography at our Spanish School Mediterraneo. This Friday we will walk through the city with the students so they can take their pictures and show them at the competition. The teachers select three pictures and the students vote a winner during the week and on Friday 27th of February we will present the results.
The winning picture will get a price and the teachers also will choose the most funny picture, which also would be worthy for an award.
The next week we will publish the final and winning pictures.

Wir haben einen neuen Wettbewerb für urbane Fotografie an unserer Spanischschule Mediterraneo organisiert. Diesen Freitag werden wir mit den Schülern durch die Stadt ziehen wo sie dann ihre Fotos machen und schliesslich bei dem Wettbewerb präsentieren können. Die Lehrer wählen dann drei Fotos aus und die Schüler wählen während der Woche den Gewinner, und am Freitag den 27. Februar werden die Ergebnisse bekannt gegeben.
Das Gewinnerfoto gewinnt einen Preis, und die Lehrer wählen noch das lustigste Bild, welches auch einen Preis verdient hat.
Nächste Woche präsentieren wir euch die Final- und Gewinnerfotos.

Os proponemos algunas actividades culturales que podéis realizar en Málaga durante el mes de febrero:
En el Teatro Cervantes, entre otras, podréis asistir a los siguientes espectáculos (más información e www.teatrocervantes.com):
1) 16 de Febrero. Concierto de Tindersticks. Vuelta con su séptimo disco de estudio “The hungry saw” de la banda de Stuart Staples, una de los grupos con mayor personalidad en la actualidad.
2) 19 y 20 de Febrero. Concierto de la Orquesta Filarmónica de Málaga interpretando obras de R. Strauss y de G. Mahler, con la dirección de Marco Guidarini y con la soprano finladesa Helena Juntunen.
3) 27 de febrero y 1 de marzo. “Marina”. Ópera española con música de Emilio Arrieta y libreto de Francisco Camprodón y Miguel Ramos Carrión.
En el Centro de Arte Contemporáneo de Málaga (CAC) podemos ver:
- Hasta el 22 de febrero, la exposición de Tracey Emin, influyente artista brítánica,claro exponente de la generación “Ybas” (Young British Artists).
- Hasta el 29 de marzo, la exposición ” A long march” del artista tailandés Rirkrit Tiravanija, instalación “site specific” creada para el CAC.

Ahora que ya ha terminado el año, queremos daros las gracias a todos los que habéis participado en nuestros cursos de español.
Aunque el estudio del idioma sea el objetivo del curso, como siempre, hemos intentado en nuestra escuela de español ofrecer otras actividades complementarias al aspecto meramente académico. Todas las semanas hemos realizado visitas a los diferentes museos y monumentos de la ciudad, ofertado viajes a otras ciudades y pueblos, cine en la escuela, u organizado clases sobre historia, cultura y literatura española, en las que incluso hemos contado con la presencia del guitarrista clásico español Moisés Vallejo.

Now the year has ended and we want to thank everybody who participated in our Spanish courses.
Though the study of language is the main topic of the course, like always, we intended to offer other activities at our  Spanish school complementary to the academic aspect. Every week we did visits to the different museums and monuments of the city, offered journeys to other cities or villages, also Spanish cinema at the school, and we organized classes about Spanish history, culture and literature, where we invited the classic Spanish guitar player Moises Vallejo.
Nun da das Jahr vorbei ist, wollen wir uns bei allen bedanken die an unseren Spanischkursen teilgenommen haben.
Obwohl das Erlernen der Sprache der Hauptfokus des Kurses ist haben wir wie immer versucht andere Aktivitäten ergänzend zum akademischen Hintergrund anzubieten. Jede Woche haben wir Besuche in die verschieden Museen und Monumente der Stadt realisiert, Ausflüge in andere Städte oder Dörfer, Spanisches Kino, oder Veranstaltungen zur Geschichte, Kultur und spanische Literatur, zu denen wir auch den Gitarrist der klassischen spanischen Gitarre Moises Vallejo eingeladen haben, angeboten.

También hemos participado en las costumbres de la ciudad porque conocer la cultura ayuda a conocer a los españoles y su idioma.
Además, consideramos que el ocio es básico para poder disfrutar del tiempo en Málaga. Por ello todas las semanas hemos salido con los estudiantes a tomar tapas y hemos organizado numerosas fiestas de escuela. Es una vía para poder conseguir una mayor integración entre todos los estudiantes de la escuela entre sí y con los profesores. La situación de la escuela nos permite realizar diversas actividades tanto en el centro como en la playa junto a nuestra escuela de español (visitas al mercado, al centro histórico, clases de conversación o juegos en la playa,…).
We also participated in the customs of the city because getting to know a culture is helping for getting to know the Spanish people and their language.
We think that the leisure is basic for enjoying the time in Malaga. For this reason we went out every week for having tapas with the students or we organized many parties of the school. It is a way to achieve a good integration between the students of the school and their teachers. The localization of the school gives us the chance to realize many different activities from the center until the beach, which is next to the school. (Visits to the market, the historical center, conversation class or activities at the beach,….)

Außerdem haben wir auch die Gewohnheiten der Stadt aufgenommen da das Kennenlernen einer Kultur hilft beim Verstehen der spanischen Sprache und der Spanier an sich. Wir denken dass die Freizeit grundlegend ist um die Zeit in Malaga zu genießen. Deswegen sind wir auch jede Woche mit den Schülern zum Tapasessen in die Stadt gezogen und haben unzählige Partys organisiert. Das ist ein Weg um die beste Integration zwischen den Schüler der Spanischschule und deren Lehrern zu schaffen. Die Lage der Schule ermöglicht uns die verschiedensten Aktivitäten anzubieten, z.B. das historische Zentrum wie auch der Strand, der sich unmittelbar neben der Schule befindet.( Besuche des Marktes, historisches Zentrum, Konversationsunterricht oder Spiele am Strand,…)                                                                            Clase en la playa

Para este año 2009, además de las actividades que hemos realizado durante el año pasado, estamos programando nuevas propuestas que esperamos que os gusten. También tenemos nuevas ofertas de cursos para el invierno de 2.009 (ver entrada del día 18 de diciembre).
Desde aquí, todos nosotros os queremos mandar un abrazo y desearos un féliz año 2.009.

El alojamiento que se ofrece es en apartamento compartido.
